It is my pleasure to invite you to join the Section 8 Administrators Association.
Today, the Association boasts over 120 member agencies in Massachusetts and surrounding New England states!
Over forty (40) years ago on June 19th 1978 the Section 8 Administrators Association was founded, by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the purpose of providing a forum for the exchange of information on the management of the Section 8 program now called the Housing Choice Voucher program.
The Association is committed to conducting training of vital concern to our membership, and providing advocacy on behalf of our member agencies. The past several years we have seen changes that have been unprecedented. The Association provides quality programs with qualified local and national trainers. Each year we bring in several recognized experts in the subject to provide our members with quality training. We also alert both Executive Directors and Section 8 Administrators to both changes and proposed changes by HUD. In the past years, we have hosted training seminars, at a reasonable cost, on the following subjects: HCV Financial, CORI Updates, Managing Your Programs During Sequestration, Fair Housing, Reasonable Accommodation, LEP, Informal Termination Hearing, HUD-Staying off the Radar, FSS, Homeownership, HCV Rent Calculations and so much more.
Please complete the enclosed application and join us this year! We are asking all housing authorities and affiliate members to consider joining or renew their S8AA memberships no later than October 31, 2019.
